We allow guest their privacy but are available when needed. THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA Florissant Fossil Beds offers hiking, nature trails and a visitor center (3 miles) Mueller State park (14 miles) - more hiking and beautiful views Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Sanctuary (6 miles) Cripple creek - an old mining town with many casinos and entertainment Pike's Peak - over 14,000 feet up and a sight worth seeing Manitou Springs - cute town with lots of restaurants, shops and sights to see An AWD vehicle is recommended when there is snow. There is ample parking in front of the house. For the heath and safety of our guests, a spa technician comes weekly to keep our hot tub in tip top shape. The tech will only need access to the hot tub area in the back and will try not to interrupt any guest activities. Since the summer months are often cool with little to no humidity, we do not have AC installed in the house. Three floor fans are provided for each of the bedrooms (as well as ceiling fans throughout the house). There is one security camera that is used for exterior surveillance only. Fire bans may happen occasionally and this is something that is out of our control. Open fires outdoors are strictly prohibited during fire bans (the grill and propane fire table can still be used). Please check the Teller County Sheriff's website before your visit for the most up-to-date information on whether fires are allowed at that time. No parties or events No smoking or vaping inside home. A cigarette receptacle has been provided. Please place all butts in there. This home is on a septic system and well water. Please do not flush anything besides waste and bathroom tissue. Please do not discard any solids or oils/fat down the kitchen sink. Quiet Hours: 10pm-8am Early check ins/Late checkouts may be available. Please be advised there is a fee of $50 per hour for both early check ins and late check outs. Requests must be approved and paid in advance and are not always available due to time restraints. Please be advised: Violation of pet or smoking (inside) policy $300 minimum deep cleaning due to significant health risk to owner. Guests that fail to vacate the property at the designated checkout (initial 10 minute grace period) will be subject to a fee of $75 for every half hour increment.
The check in process was very easy and Joanne was extremely friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful and so is the area that surrounds it. There is beautiful wildlife in the area and lots of great views. The house was perfect for our family and it had everything we wanted. The location is great and an easy drive to off road trails or to Manitou Springs for shopping and restaurants. Our family loved it and had a great time!
